The Rincon Power is a high-performance bi-directional contactor rated for 1000V and 500A continuous current, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. Some of its other features are that it is hermetically sealed with gas, CE certified, and meets RoHS 2011/65/EU. The contactor coil voltage is 9-36V. The max inrush current for the coil is 3.8A and to keep the contactor closed is 0.17A @ 12V. The 32-95V coil voltage version is also available.

Auxiliary Contacts

Auxiliary contacts are a small, separate set of low-current contacts built into the contactor that provide main position feedback. They don't carry your main load. Instead, they open or close a circuit of your own so your control system can confirm what the contactor is actually doing. Common uses include feedback to a BMS or motor controller, dashboard indicators, and safety interlocks that verify the contactor really opened or closed after it was commanded.

This contactor is available with one of two auxiliary contact types. The aux contacts work like a small switch that moves along with the main contactor. You wire them into your own circuit, such as a controller input or indicator light, and the contacts either complete that circuit or break it. "Normally" refers to the contactor's resting state, when it is off.

• Normally Open (NO): The switch is open while the contactor is off, so no current can flow through your aux circuit. When the contactor turns on, the switch closes and current can flow. Choose this if you want your system to detect when the contactor is on.
• Normally Closed (NC): The switch is closed while the contactor is off, so current can flow through your aux circuit. When the contactor turns on, the switch opens and current stops. Choose this if you want your system to detect when the contactor is off.
